Overview

In this project, we got a client from one of the agencies that cooperated in launching activities at one of the big companies in Indonesia. You could say we are a third party or outsourcing in making the website this time. In this project my job role is as a UI designer.

Style Design

In this case, our client wanted to improve the appearance of the website design and add several website pages. The arrangement of sections for each page and design assets has been determined by our client, in this project we follow the client's wishes for the design layout displayed and we simply develop the design to suit their needs.

Design styles such as colors, logos, and typography follow the references from the previous design styles, but we changed the buttons and added several assets that match the content displayed.

This project was carried out aiming to make it easier for users from business friends to register as event members and take part in activities that take place every month, so that many can experience the benefits and advantages of being a member of the programs being run.

After Design Process

In this case, I am responsible for completing the required website design according to the work timeline. I simply make a website page design according to the client's request.

For the prototyping stage, the Project Manager directs the web developer directly to load it on the staging website. Prior to that stage, I had a meeting with the web developer to explain the overall website design that would be displayed, such as an explanation of the sections on each page, function buttons or icons, etc.

During the prototyping stage, I am responsible for finding out progress or updates from the developer every day and then I report it to Project Management. I have to make sure that the work on this project is completed on time. After this stage was completed, I held meetings with clients using website staging (prototyping) several times until it was what they wanted, such as: changing button or section locations, reducing text size, etc.

Conclusion

In this project, I learned many new things. As a UI designer, you have to be communicative or play an active role when the project is running, don't get tired of reminding and informing the team of the latest updates from clients or vice versa. A UI Designer also plays a role in project time management in the website development stage, continuously correcting the appearance that the developer has worked on to match the UI design.
