What are the Challenges being faced?
How can the admin have the capacity to add, edit, delete, read FAQ listings, questionnaires, users, and test results.
Facilitate the admin in inputting content data
This is the first real project that I run. In this project I am responsible for creating CMS designs for website admins. In this case, we were assigned to run a website about self-testing business skills, startups, and etc. Meanwhile, the interface design is available and made by our client team.
Focus on the process
Since this is my first project, I feel excited to run it. However, on the other hand I am still confused and don't really understand CMS design. At the start of the project, I was immersed in confusion and my ignorance about how to make a CMS design, so I haven't started working on the task given. In this task, I simply create a CMS wireframe according to the scope given and race against the template from vuexy. Then, guided by the lead team, I slowly began to understand and understand the flow of work in making CMS designs. The point I get, in making a design, whether it's a CMS, website, or application, make the design the easiest or smallest page first, then end with the main page (such as; dashboard, landing page, menu) because that way the processing time is more efficient and easier. in the works.
CMS design wireframe work flow
Write down the data points needed from each content
Know how many pages to create
Explore the assets in the vuexy template
Start creating wireframes from the smallest content page
Conduct wireframe reviews to backend developers
After finishing creating the CMS wireframe, I was assigned to report website creation updates every week (Weekly updates) on Mondays to the client team via gmeet, this really really trained me in communicating between clients and developers. Then I immediately convey the results of the meeting to the team.
The challenge is always there
In the process of making the website, there was a mistake between the CMS design that had been made and the CMS, this was due to a miscommunication between me and the backend developer team. My lack of thoroughness and firmness when agreeing to revision every meeting with the client team made my team continue to revise without paying attention to the scope. This is what makes the website work last a long time not in accordance with the timeline.
From the problems faced, I continue to discuss with the team to find the best solution. By specifying content that is in accordance with the scope and content that has already been created/built by the developer but is out of scope, we propose it as an additional payment to the client. This is a lesson for me, the need to pay attention to the content/assets that the client wants whether it is appropriate or not, conveying the development of making the website appropriately between the client and the team, always pay attention to the scope of work on each project and the project runs according to the given timeline.
